Mini Camp Staff
We hire approximately 5-10 veteran staffers who are friendly, trustworthy, dedicated, and caring to donate one day to being on staff at Mini Camp. What you get in return is priceless. Are you one of them?
The campers who attend this camp, and whom you’d be caring for, include active cancer patients, patients off treatment, survivors, and siblings ages 5–7.
Mini Camp shares the location of Camp Goodtimes on Vashon Island, and overlaps with those camp dates.
positions
Every position at camp is a needed position at camp. To create a magical and effective team we need a variety of skills and personalities:
Cabin Counselor: be the primary camp-day counselor for a group of Mini Camp campers. This includes being present at check-in to meet campers and help get them acclimated and excited.
Activities Crew: run activities, such as field games, waterfront/beach combing, or arts and crafts. Teach and instruct campers how to do the assigned activity and help get it set/prepped, as well as cleaned up. NOTE: counselors will be present at all activities, but you are the activity leader.
Nurse: be the primary care giver for the onsite group of Mini campers, including doing meds intake at check-in. NOTE: you will be supported by the Camp Goodtimes provider on call and nursing team as needed when at camp.
