The Goodtimes Project 3-Year Strategic Plan
The Goodtimes Project is thrilled to share that we have developed and adopted a three-year strategic plan which identifies organizational goals and outlines how we will achieve them. This plan was guided by input from our community and aligns with the expressed needs of families impacted by pediatric cancer.

Mission and Origin Story
When pediatric cancer becomes your world, The Goodtimes Project creates caring spaces for local families to connect and kids to be kids, through camps, events, and programs. We serve families throughout Washington and Alaska, providing cost-free programming to help them reconnect with a world beyond their diagnosis.
Our vision is that all families affected by childhood cancer will experience a community of hope, love, and joy.
The Goodtimes Project was formed in late 2013 to carry on the 30-year legacy of Camp Goodtimes. We now offer additional overnight camp and retreat programs as well as single-day programs to keep our community connected all year long.

About The Plan
This three-year strategic plan was developed with input from our board of directors, staff, and community members. We conducted surveys, interviews, and focus groups with various stakeholders within our community (i.e. parents, alumni, volunteers, donors, and others) to gain insights on the desired direction of the organization.
An ad-hoc task force composed of representatives from various sectors of our community played a pivotal role in steering the process. The resulting plan takes into account the feedback we received and outlines our main goals, with supporting details for how we'll implement the plan over the next three fiscal years*.
*The Goodtimes Project operates on a fiscal year running from October 1–September 30. This plan will be implemented across Oct. ‘24–Sept. ‘27.
Mission Focused
Throughout the development of this plan, we aligned our focus to the heart of our mission—the children and families we serve—while exploring how to activate and utilize our foundation of support.
Strategic Priorities
Programming
Broaden and deepen programming opportunities by refining our geographic scope, creating new programs to reach unserved demographics, and increasing spaces for meaningful connection for specific subsets within the Goodtimes community.
Community Connections
Reinforce connections within the pediatric cancer community by sharing resources, expanding services, and connecting with other organizations to increase visibility and accessibility for families, as well as bolster volunteer recruitment and retention.
Organizational Health
Strengthen organizational health by optimizing Goodtimes’ staffing structure, reassessing office space, refining human resources functions, and diversifying revenue to support existing and future initiatives.
